So I have been trying to get this to work for a few days following the setup guide here, I have reinstalled Ubuntu many times trying to get this to get pas the IO error, all 32 bit libs installed, tty0tty running, VM ware with 32 bit windows running JVS with the correct ports. I feel WMNT 4 is not talking to windows 7 using tty0tty. I dont think there is anything missing which leads me to believe one of my software components is not compatable so I will list what I am using here and can anyone who has the game running let me know if the parts match theirs.
Ubuntu 16.4 64bit.
tty0tty 1.2 installed and running.
I copy lib/ld-linux.so.2 to /opt/arcade/i686/lib/ld-linux.so.2
lib dependancies added and all the extra .so files are copyied to their locations.
32 bit libs added to ubuntu.
VMWare workstation player 12.5.8 (4 core cpu set, with extra serial port /dev/tnt0 added)
windows 7 home(x86) (with serial port 1 changed to 14 and set to hardware)
.net framework 4.5.2 installed
in the wangan folder I copy WMN4r,mt4hasp.so,wm4_hasp.bin to game rootcopy Setting.lua to /save/setting00 and save/setting01go to data\Device\DeviceSetting.lua and change "/dev/ttyS2",
JVS is running(direct input pad set up, start.bat is listening with my pad name at the top)
But when I run the game I just get the IO/error and when I close the game I can see the 'start.bat' has not updated and is still listening.
Can anyone tell me if this is their set up please or is it just a case I should be running a 32 bit Ubuntu?
