I had this error, i solved by re-installing Ubuntu and after first boot install Nvidia Drivers, install libasound2:i386 and libasound2-plugins:i386 restart and change sound to 5.1 (Speakers Plugged in)

Yes, vmware demands a lot...go for 4Core 4Threads Processor for Mt4 or wait for Mt5 that should come windows based and might not need a vmware!

I see you are using Serial Port 2 what is your Serial Port 1 Doing? Also Please very what COM Port you are using? In Device Manager

You dont have Correct Graphic Driver Installed, i had the very same problem which was only resolved with reinstalling of ubuntu 16.04 64-Bit, and verify if you had installed the correct Nvidia Driver by Navigating to System Settings > Software & Updates > Additional Drivers and check if you have GREEN CIRCLE Next to NVIDIA Corportation, I have attached mine for reference, In the meanwhile you can directly copy your Wangan folder which you have right now as it is to the newer installation, this saves time but you do need to install tty0, libs, vmware and others again for the newer installation. This will just save your pain to unpack and Copy updates and crack. Hope this helps!

Man did you even download Wangan Files. i see you only have WMN4r folder, you need to have game files with updates on top of it with crack! and make sure you are in the Wangan folder where there are game files, Right Click on there and click open terminal and then fire your command sudo ....

Install libasound2 1. sudo apt-get install libasound2:i386 2. sudo apt-get install libasound2-plugins:i386 Then Go to Sound Settings and change to 5.1 and REBOOT and Make Sure you Plugin Speakers or Headphones before you proceed with the game
