  1. AMD Ryzen 5 7600X or the Intel equivalent will probably run at full speed or close to it They go for about $1300 without the monitor. The monitor is under $100
  2. That explains why his games all play at full speed. 5.4GHZ processor
  3. Sounds good to me. Sounds like you have a powerful CPU. Mine is a 4.6 GHZ (includes turbo boost)
  4. Got some news regarding the Play! Emulator. Someone is trying to get IdolMaster, Whole Body Training, Dragon Chronicle, and Druaga Online working. From what I’m gathering they are using a program that emulates the card system that these games use, so be on the lookout for 4 additional playable games. Also, as a reminder you need a desktop computer that’s at least four figures $1000+, because that’s what a PC that has turbo boost up to 5.3 GHZ. Mine is a 4.6 so that’s why it’s a bit slow for SC 2 & 3, both TEKKEN games, Ace Driver, and both Time Crisis games
  5. Unfortunately like MAME it only uses one core/thread.
  6. It's open source if you want to contribute. I know I mentioned this already, but people are more likely to see this since it's a new post. They also have a discord server. (Play- PlayStation 2 is the name)
  7. I don't know what the FPS was on the original hardware
  8. You have to go to this link https://github.com/jpd002/Play-/actions (you have to sign up to download), install to your program files folder on your C drive or whatever the installer defaults to. Your ROMs, IMG, ISO, and CHD files must be placed in the Play Data Files Arcade ROMs folder which is in the documents folder. The arcade def files are also going to be where you installed the emulator & the CHD file & rom must match the rom & CHD you have. Otherwise it won’t work. You also may need to convert the img or iso to CHD using CHDman (there’s a download link somewhere in this thread). CHD files must be placed in folders & for Animal Kaiser you need to extract that into a folder, and again the name of the Arcade def must match the rom name.
  9. This is the latest master build Yes, that’s the link
  10. Nope. They are still working it. It’s being programmed by one person so it’s slow. I’ve been testing all of the 2x6 games on my AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX. Bloody Roar 3 (playable) (59 FPS) (tested on 1-11-24 Vulkan) Battle Gear 3 (doesn’t work) Battle Gear 3 Tuned (doesn't work) Cobra (playable) Dragon Chronicle (doesn't work) Capcom fighting Jam (playable) (60 FPS) Gundam Seed Rengou vs ZAFT Moto GP (works with analog controls) (56 FPS tested on 1-10-24) Pride GP 2003 (playable) Ridge Racer (doesn't work) Sengoku Basara (playable) (60 FPS) Soul Calibur 2 (playable, runs at 40-48 FPS) Soul Calibur 3 (playable 40 FPS) (tested on 1-13-24) Technic Beat (doesn't work) Time Crisis 3 (playable, but slow) Vampire Night (playable) Wangan Midnight & Wangan Midnight R (playable) Mobile Suit Z-Gundam AEUG vs Titans (playable) (roughly 60 fps) MSG Gundam vs Gundam MSG Gundam vs Gundam next MSG Seed Destiny Rengou vs ZAFT 2 MSG Z AEUG Vs Titans 2 TEKKEN 4 (playable, runs at 50-55 FPS) TEKKEN 5 (46-50 FPS) Tekken 5 Dark Legacy (46 FPS) (tested on 1-10-24) Kinnikuman (playable) Kinnikuman 2 (playable, but pitch is too high) Fate Unlimited Codes (playable) (58 FPS) (OpenGL) (tested on 1-12-24) Minna (doesn't work) Taiko No Tatsujin 7 (doesn’t work) Taiko 8 (works) Taiko 9 (works) Taiko 10 (works) Taiko 11 (works) Taiko 12 (works) Taiko 13 (works) Taiko 14 (crashes emulator) Zoids infinity (doesn't work) Zoids Infinity EX (doesn't work) Time Crisis 4 (playable, but very slow) Ace Driver 3 (works) (40-42 FPS vulkan) (tested on 1-13-24) Animal Kaiser (works) Smash course tennis (hangs after selecting player) The Idolm@ster (coin input and card doesn’t work. Hopefully a patch will be released to fix this) Super DBZ (doesn’t work) Druaga Online (no online support) Yu Yu Hakusho (doesn’t work) (way too slow) Animal Kaiser (works) The games with FPS next to it are the games that I tested. I can report back regarding other games Also, the emulator is open source so anyone on here can contribute if they want to
  11. On the discord server, they said that 2X6 is still WIP. Once it's no longer WIP there will be a compatibility list, but it seems like the compatibility is already good, but some of the games still need to be optimized. A new version just came out today on the GitHub
  12. I think the progress for this emulator is pretty good considering Namco 2x6 support was added about one year & 4 months.
  13. Disregard the reply. Got Idolmaster to boot. Hopefully, it'll be playable someday
  14. I'm having some trouble with The Idolm@ster. I downloaded the .img file as well as the dongles, converted the .img file to a .chd and I keep getting an error message that said "no directory header found in stream" system2x6 directory listing (archive.org) the link i used If anyone has a .chd file for The Idolm@ster that would be awesome
  15. I downloaded Animal Kaiser from the link above, extracted the file, and made a new .zip with the name that matches the arcadedef and it says that it failed to find the file. I have it in the same folder as my other roms/chds for Play! Never mind. I had to put the file into a folder. not a zip. sorry
  16. The MAME CHD and dongles should work fine. Just convert the CHD into a IMG file, make a .py2 file for that game, and make sure that black/white dongles from the zip file are in the same directory as the game. Also, the ps_nvram file can be put in the place of the LINK_ID file
  17. So after I download this zip file do I put the RAW file in the same folder as the dongles you provided? The 2 games I want to get working are Toys March 1 & 2 since Thrill Drive 3 is already converted on Archive.ORG.
  18. For Tekken 5.1 you need to use CHDMAN and convert the HDD image to a CDVD/DVD https://github.com/jpd002/Play- This link explains everything. As for the ROM you simply need to download the rom file for Tekken 5.1. As for the Arcadedef file you should have it when you installed the emulator, but if you don't this is mine { "id": "tekken51", "name": "Tekken 5.1", "dongle": { "name": "te51verb.ic002" }, "cdvd": { "name": "te51-dvd0.chd" }, "eeFrequencyScale": [4, 3], "boot": "ac0:TK5LOAD", "patches": [ ] } Use a new text document and name it tekken51.arcadedef & it only runs on the Namco256 build, not the master build which is why you maybe having issues playing it

    Game Loader All Rh

I'm unable to run this on my laptop. When I try to load it I get a message that says "This application doesn't work with your PC". I'm using a Windows 10 AMD Ryzen 9 5800 HX

    Toy's March 1 & 2

    That's good
  21. Hi, does anyone have links for Toy's March 1 & 2 for the PCSX2 Python 2 fork with the files needed to run the game on that emulator? It's the only series Python 2 games that don't have home ports other than Thrill Drive 3. Thank you
  22. Has anyone tried out games that don’t have premade MAME CHDs yet (example: Battle Gear 3) on Play? Also, how do you make your own CHDs that don’t have MAME dumps? Thank you
  23. Personally, both of them aren't great, but for compatibility, Xemu is the best. CXBXR may run faster on games that it works on, but Xemu plays more games with fluctuating FPS. I've used both, and Xemu is the way to go. As for XBOX arcade hardware (Chihiro), CXBXR is the best option. Sadly, the only Chihiro game that works is Virtua Cop 3. The other games require the Chihiro bios and the JVS controls, which, unfortunately, are hardwired. Xemu kind plays Chihiro games but requires various bios files, particular boot files, and a custom HDD. I have yet to find a way to make Xemu play any Chihiro game, including Virtua Cop 3.
