Its possible that the update replaces some of the files as it was made for the older version. The english translation i made is not full by any means, a lot is still in japanese because of either laziness or that i couldnt find the the files. Song names are and will not be translated, i know there are some things that i missed and so on and so on. Only the most important things (like sorting categories etc are). game modifiers (speed and so on) are still in japanese. I suggest using the english patch as a crutch and then just go by muscle memory. Also you dont really need any of the patches from the patcher except unlock all songs. anything else either works outright or can be adjusted in test menu or unlocked through gameplay.

The update adds *something* but Im unable to make any connection to the filenames as I can do with just the base files. However if I have to guess, it probably adds the unlockable songs from the last few events. They probably are not unlocked by default after the event finished (after a certain amount of time that is). Edit 2: So I did the digging for you as I also wanted to update. 1.Download the intermediate update from edit 1. Unzip, replace files. 2. Download the latest update from the discord link, unzip, replace files. 3. Take the popn22.dll from the MODULES folder (not the one thats in the root directory!!!!! IMPORTANT) and patch it here https://elpis.fun/gamepatcher/popn26kaimeiriddles.html with UNLOCK ALL SONGS and other patches you might want. and download the patched file. THE PATCHER SHOULD SHOW YOU [2022-06-13 14 of 14 patches matched (100%)] if it shows something else you did it wrong. 4. replace the popn22.dll in the ROOT of the game files (where spice.exe lives) with the patched file. 5. Enjoy. Its convoluted but it for whatever reason works like this. Also my English patch now works only partially. But all main gameplay related text should still be translated.

I didn't play with the program much then to add few songs to check if it works. If there are other bugs, they have to be looked at by someone more skilled or if I encounter any that bother me I might try it again myself. I ran into the same issue, however I figured out the solution!! You either have to make yourself .bat script or open CMD/powershell, navigate to the folder and type "spice.exe -w" Open spicecfg.exe, go to Options tab and set Windowed mode enabled, which will launch the game in windowed mode and will then work. No need for E or F drive, the crack looks like already counts on that and there is a folder named as such. As for english patch. In "content/data/tex/system26" are these .ifs files: card_j.ifs cmn_j.ifs gameover_j.ifs matching_j.ifs ms.ifs ms_match_j.ifs option_j.ifs result_j.ifs title_cmn_j.ifs title_j.ifs tutorial_j.ifs These files I named hold the majority of text you encounter (imo, I went over all the menus i could find and it looks as such) and with ifstools can be nicely unpacked and repacked. If anyone has some spare time (and preferably knows japanese) could you try to translate? It doesnt have to be super pretty, just erase the text and replace with english equivalent (and somewhat decent font). Otherwise I will do it using google translate *someday* when i feel like it.
